Managing Hostile Terminations and Employee Threats – 1 Hour
Santa Fe Springs Chamber of Commerce Members and Guests, please join us at this informative and potentially lifesaving seminar on Managing Hostile Terminations and Employee Threats.”
According to the National Crime Victimization Survey, about 2 million assaults and threats of violence
against employees occur annually in the workplace. The most common type of workplace crime was
assault, with an average of 1.5 million a year! These crimes include: 396,000 aggravated assaults,
51,000 rapes and sexual assaults, 84,000 robberies, and 1,000 homicides reported. These figures likely
fall short of the actual number of violent acts occurring in workplaces, as not all acts are reported.
This seminar will open your eyes to the true risks faced by employers of all shapes and sizes. Learn
how to identify unsafe employee behavior, necessary to determine the potential for violence in the
workplace. Learn how to effectively and legally deal with violent employees, temporary restraining
orders (TRO’s), and implement the security protocols necessary to reduce your liability and maintain
a safe workplace.
