Description
Compliance Training Group a division of Diversified Risk Management Inc. has an immediate need for a trainer to work as a part-time employee or consultant. This position facilitates, develops and delivers learning solutions using appropriate training methods to support the groups operational needs through the delivery of staff and leadership education programs. This position involves designing instructional products, materials, and programs utilizing a variety of learning platforms (e.g., traditional instructor-led training, Adobe Web-based instruction, distance learning, job aids, paper-based or electronic manuals), and other innovative delivery methodologies to produce optimum training for staff and leadership development. Some light travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitates workplace training and educational programs for management and staff.. (e.g. Substance Abuse, Sexual Harassment, Workplace Violence, Workplace, Diversity, Conflict Resolution, Team Building, etc.)
- Utilizes multimedia technology, eLearning authoring tools, and electronic performance support tools to develop instructional materials for customized training courses.
- Partner with subject matter experts in curriculum development, course design and material creation to develop and implement learning solutions that will improve business performance, outcomes and cost efficiencies.
- Ensures course material is intuitive, informative, and consistent with sound instructional design principles.
- Assesses training requirements and develops integrated training programs with clear prerequisites and progression tracks.
- Conducts gap analysis on a regular basis to accurately assess individual, department, and site-specific needs and continually improve training services.
- Stay abreast of developments in training, learning, technology, and human performance improvement to help strive for continuous improvement with the companys training strategies.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Education, Training, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Communication, Human Resources or related field; Master of Science or MBA is a plus. Experience in curriculum development required with an emphasis on instructor-led and web-based training using appropriate instructional design methods.
- Bilingual Spanish a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to provide examples of work.
- Minimum of three to five years of progressive, relevant and recent experience in training.
- Strong verbal, written communication and energetic, friendly and charismatic presentation skills.
- Solid knowledge of instructional design principles, instructional technologies, and adult learning principles is required.
- Certification in CPLP, ECC, HRCI, PHR, SPHR, GPHR, or ASTD a plus.
- Certification as a Myers Briggs presenter a plus.

- Proficient in MS office applications (MS Word, and PowerPoint). Ability to proficiently and effectively use AV equipment for presentations including LCD projector with laptop.
