George J. Ramos, Jr. is a senior shareholder and co-founder of Diversified Risk Management, Inc. and oversees operations for the investigation firm and its two subsidiaries, Employers Choice Online and Compliance Training Group, headquartered in Downey, California.
Mr. Ramos has nearly twenty-five years’ experience conducting workplace investigations, consulting and employee workplace training. Mr. Ramos has worked as a senior executive investigator and consultant on thousands of embezzlement, theft, fraud and other cases involving the entire scope of illegal activity perpetrated within the employment environment, exclusively serving employers and the legal counsel for employers.
Mr. Ramos has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Chapter of ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security), the leading national organization for the advancement of excellence among security and investigations professionals.
Mr. Ramos is currently a board member of the Latin Business Association and is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the American Management Association, the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals, the California Association of Licensed Investigators, the Latin American Security Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the National Association of Chiefs of Police, the National Association of Investigative Specialists, the National Council of Investigative and Security Services, and the Professional Investigators of California Association and the Optimist Club of Downey.
As a successful corporate investigator, he has performed and supervised complex workplace investigations relating to white-collar crimes including embezzlement and industrial espionage, sexual harassment, workplace violence, identity theft, elder abuse, substance abuse and internal theft for employers throughout the US, Canada and Mexico. Clients of Mr. Ramos include employers in a myriad of industries, including aerospace, automotive, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, electronics, entertainment, computer technology, print and media publication, warehouse distribution, transportation, agriculture, steel production, and professional service businesses including law firms, municipalities, non-profit assisted living organizations and all facets of manufacturing.
After attending Cypress Community College Mr. Ramos completed graduate level courses and workshops related to executive effectiveness, leadership, interpersonal and management skills. He has completed the US Naval Academy’s Law Enforcement training program, sponsorship into the Academy having been endorsed and facilitated by the Downey Police Department, Downey California.
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
Mr. Ramos has served as Senior Manager, Director and Vice President for several nationally recognized corporate investigation firms which include The John T. Lynch Company, Pinkerton Consulting and Investigations, West Coast Detectives, Confidential Management Services, Inc., Group Dynamics LLC, Business Controls, Inc. and ASET Corporation.
Mr. Ramos is exclusively retained by employers or their legal counsel to assist in the increasingly difficult and complex world of workplace investigations and corporate security. He has conducted criminal and civil investigations in more than forty U.S. States, as well as Canada and Mexico. Mr. Ramos has worked with city, state and federal law enforcement agencies to successfully prosecute workplace crime in many jurisdictions.
Mr. Ramos is an accomplished workplace investigator and bilingual Spanish/English expert interviewer with a reputation for solving complex cases through skillful application of psychology and technique in a relaxed and uncoercive environment.
On a day-to-day basis, Mr. Ramos assists and advises employers ranging in size from small startup firms to Fortune 500 corporations all over the country, reducing risk and mitigating damages associated with various forms of employee misconduct.
Beyond simply performing investigations, Mr. Ramos has conducted corporate briefings and developed training programs concerning various workplace topics, using various forms of learning management software technology and live presentations.
Mr. Ramos been instrumental in the planning and implementation of regulatory policies and procedures for numerous employer clients.
