As many laws and statutes differ in individual jurisdictions and states, one of Mr. Provencio’s main duties is ensuring that all background investigations conducted at EmployersChoiceOnline.com are in compliance with State and Federal laws. Mr. Provencio is versed in the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), CA Civil Code Section 1.6 and 1.6A, Drivers Privacy Protection Act, the Graham-Leach-Bliley Act and the Speier Act, as they relate to employment background checks and consumer rights. Compliance with these acts is of paramount importance in ensuring that the rights of consumers are legally and accurately met.
Mr. Provencio attended Cerritos College, located in Norwalk, California, and completed an Associate of Arts Degree in Business / Paralegal. While attending Cerritos College, Mr. Provencio worked as a legal assistant, providing the public with various legal forms, such as temporary restraining orders, unlawful detainer, small claims packets, and probate related material.
Prior to his employment at DRM, Mr. Provencio served with the United States Marine Corps. as a Ground Radio Repair Technician/ Lance Corporal. In that capacity, Mr. Provencio was responsible for the Repair, Modification, and Maintenance of 2/4 Communication Equipment as well as serving as a Humvee driver and machine gunner.
Professional History
Previously, Mr. Provencio was employed by the office of Mayor Beverly O' Neill of Long Beach, CA. While working for Mayor Beverly O’Neill, Mr. Provencio was responsible for multiple projects, including responding to constituent concerns via phone calls, email and letters while organizing and updating the constituent response tracking system. Mr. Provencio was also responsible for generating monthly reports tracking the status of current constituent concerns.
Additionally, Mr. Provencio worked as a Special Events Coordinator, organizing special events in the City of Long Beach including holiday events and the Mayor's Habitat for Humanity Build by contacting and securing vendors, city staff, media, and safety officials.
