Regina V. Martinez attended the University of La Verne, located in La Verne, California, completing both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology with a minor in Sociology and a Master of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Information Technology. She also attended Mount San Antonio Community College, located in Walnut, California, and completed an Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts.
In addition, Ms. Martinez attended and completed college units from Phillips Jr. College in a Paralegal/Legal Assistant program. Ms. Martinez received a P.O.S.T. Records Certificate of training from the San Diego Regional Training Center as part of her public service training with the Fontana Police Department. Also, Ms. Martinez received a certificate of employment in word processing from the San Bernardino Regional Occupational Program.
While attending the University of La Verne, Ms. Martinez was on the Dean's List, received an Academic Achievement Award in Criminology awarded by the Behavioral Science Department, was inducted as a member of Psi Chi - The National Honor Society in Psychology and Alpha Kappa Delta - The National Honor Society in Sociology, was an active member of the Behavioral Science Club, and conducted and presented a Senior Project Thesis. Ms. Martinez also mentored at-risk students at Bonita High School located in La Verne, California and was involved in their at-risk Latina program. She has been recognized by the California State Legislature and is currently a member of the Latino Alumni Association at the University of La Verne.
Ms. Martinez has worked in the private and public sectors of the security industry including law enforcement and
private investigations for approximately five years. In addition, she is a small business owner and is currently
pursuing a Doctor of Public Administration Degree, D.P.A., at the University of La Verne.
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY:
Ms. Martinez had been employed by the City of Fontana at the Fontana Police Dept. in Police Records for approximately two years. Ms. Martinez has also obtained more than three years of experience working in the field of private investigations in a management capacity. While employed in the private sector, Ms. Martinez worked with many Fortune 500 companies and prestigious law firms by assisting the President and Vice Presidents of the company in many business operations. Ms. Martinez communicated effectively with clients and law enforcement agencies, participated in investigative interviews, and managed several undercover and special investigations. Ms. Martinez also worked in several special undercover investigations, was responsible for a high level of administrative needs, which included compiling reports and presenting the information to clients, and assisting in
background investigations. In addition, Ms. Martinez’ experience also includes recruiting, hiring, training investigators, business development, and accounting.
